Best Ever

We had the best shore excursion ever!
It started with Hirokane meeting us on the dock, with his yellow jacket, just like he said.
Our tour was scheduled for 9am, but, we got off the ship at 8:30.
No problem, Hirokane introduced us to our guide Kyla and our driver Ted, and off we went.
It was great to leave early, as we were ahead of the bus groups.
Our guide Kyla was very knowledgeable, insightful, and, perhaps most important, she was fun.
Our driver Ted was more like a co-guide.
He knew the area well and its history.
He was also a very nice man, the type of guy you want to hug.
We had a full day trying to see Mt. Fuji.(to no avail). The day, however, was the best of our 3weeks in Japan.
The beautiful Temple, the pines, and a stop to see how tea grows, etc..
Even between stops Kyla keep us going.
She taught us several things and we learned how to count in Japanese.
Perhaps the best of the day was when Kyla did a little comedy routine that she is working on, it was great(I’m laughing as I think about it).

Hirokane even met us when we returned to the ship just to make sure everything was ok.
