Visiting spots:

1, Lake Tanuki

Lake Tanuki (田貫湖 Tanukiko) is located in a corner of the vast Asagiri highland, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka prefecture(west side of Mountain Fuji). The lake, 1.0km from east to west, 0.5km from south to north, and 4.0km around, mystically reflects the image, not to mention of Mt.Fuji, of Mt. Tenshigadake, the mountain with many legendary stories. Enjoy yourself fully with cherry blossoms in spring, red leaves in autumn, viewing Mt. Fuji, camping, boating and hiking. Fishing hera-buna is widely known throughout Japan.

2. Shiraito & Otodome Falls

A part of Mount Fuji world Heritage. You can visit Shiraito Falls and Otodome Falls. These are very close each other. One of the most beautiful and popular waterfalls in Japan. The waters are mostly Mount Fuji spring water. There is a view spot for wheelchair users.

3. Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine

Famous as the main shrine over 1,300 Sengen Shrines in Japan, this is the foremost shrine of the Suruga area. The whole of Mt. Fuji above the Eighth Stage makes up the precincts of this shrine. The Sengen-style architecture, in which a connecting heiden hall is found between the sanctuary (honden) and the worship hall (haiden), enshrines the goddess Konohana Sakuyahime no Mikoto. The main building was constructed by Tokugawa Ieyasu in the 17th century, and is a national important cultural property. The Kanda River flows from the Wakutama Pond located here, a Special Natural Treasure formed by the snowmelt springs of Mt. Fuji selected as one of the great waters of the Heisei period.
